Statement of Faith
Confessed according to the truth revealed in Scripture, the historic Christian faith, and Reformed theology.
Article 1 · The Holy Scriptures
We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the only final authority for faith and life.
Article 2 · The Triune God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
Article 3 · Sovereignty, Creation and Providence
We believe God created all things and governs the universe and history by his sovereign will and providence.
Article 4 · Humanity and Sin
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, yet through Adam’s fall all are under sin and cannot save themselves apart from grace.
Article 5 · Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man, born of a virgin, crucified in the place of sinners, bodily raised, seated at the right hand of God, and the one mediator between God and man.
Article 6 · Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and that those born again by the Spirit are sanctified and kept to the end.
Article 7 · The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is true God, who regenerates sinners, indwells believers, guides into truth and sanctifies.
Article 8 · The Church
We believe Christ is the only head of the church, which is called to proclaim the Word, administer the sacraments and carry the gospel.
Article 9 · The Sacraments
We believe Christ instituted baptism and the Lord’s Supper as means of grace that signify and confirm God’s grace.
Article 10 · The Christian Life
We believe every believer is to obey the Word and live a holy life that displays the glory of God.
Article 11 · Evangelism and Mission
We believe the Great Commission entrusts the church with proclaiming the gospel and making disciples among all nations, and that Christ alone is the way of salvation.
Article 12 · The Second Coming and Eternal State
We believe Christ will return in glory, that the dead will rise and face final judgment, that the redeemed will live with God forever and those who reject Christ will suffer eternal punishment.
